The difference between a chopstick and a straw?

Steriliser/dispenser - with chopsticks already paired up to be pulled by the handling end (above, en route from the Chaerhan Salt Lake) compared to a McDonalds straw dispenser where the straw is pulled from mid-body (Xi'an, below).

Salt Flurries

A wander around the Chaerhan Salt Lake en route to Donhuang. Standing under the conveyors - flurries of fine salt graduals fall like snow. Sand dune surfing? With the right kind of (bubble era) investment imagination this could be the worlds first salt/snow boarding resort. Falling not an option.
