Win Bose 3's - A Nation Decides
The competition for the most entertaining example of mobile phone anti-social behaviour drew in entries ranging from the inane to the insane, obviously encouraged by the chance to win a pair of Bose 3 noise cancellation headphones. You can read all the entries here.
It's decision time. Once you've reviewed the entries you can record your vote here.
Let the vote rigging begin!
Update: voting is now closed.
Update: in the true spirit of a dysfunctional democracy we have a clear, if vote rigged winner. Ta to everyone who submitted entries and Steve ping your address to info at janchipchase.com to receive your prize. No more shall you be cursed by ambient noise (unless of course you forget to charge the headphones battery)

1 vote: Miles Rochford and the story of the jealous spouse - a good example of existing behaviours that are amplified by technology.

1 vote: Elenko's Runner.
Posted by: Gustavo at February 25, 2008 8:39 AM
I have to agree with Jan: the abusive spouse story is so wrong, and yet so close to a reasonable use of technology that went out-of-hand.

I am not going to vote since i participated. I just wanted to share a thought which came to my mind while reading all the posted anti-social stories:
I can't help but drawing a connection between this competition and the cheesy "KODAK MOMENTS":
- this sounds like a good anti-kodak moments option.
> I am sure that if Kodak was to open such a contest, it would be far more interresting: "Record the most anti social and party-spoiling photographic behaviors".
Jan, are you treating us next with a photocontext?

Sachin Gaur's example was quite entertaining, it definitely is something very widely prevalent and would perhaps rate it the most entertaining example of all.

Craig Lynn, for his different take on 'antisocial use of a cellphone' and for the 'you've just got that on contract' line ...

Its got to be the Miles Rochford story - its taking the essential feature of mobile technology 'always on, anywhere' and demonstrating the dark side.

Good idea, great stories!
My vote is going to Elenko's 'tale' which bring us understanding about how far are the old people from modern society.
I am impressed as well by their so-called religiousness: the runner is not mad! He is obsessed by demons.
Funny and educative at the same time. So, Elenko is my winner.
Regards!

Not sure you've quite grasped the concept of vote rigging - it usually works better if you vary your name...
