Wondering wht special features do muslim toilets have? Where was this photograph clicked?
Coming from India, this is the first time I am seeing a special signage for muslim toilets.
The waiting rooms I have seen in india are not very different. Some have both indian and western type of seats. In trains also if one will see, in both normal class and Air conditioned class the two types exist.

I found this photo on the web http://www.porcelainpoetry.faketrix.com/strange-toilets-weird-restrooms-picture-2-Muslim-toilet.htm of a muslim toilet. Ones like this are popular in india also. Wondering why are they called muslim toilets, why the attachment with a religious group.

As per the sharia, in the muslim culture, washing after defeaction is encouraged. For the same purpose, people use their left hand to clean themselves and their right for eating or greeting. In parts of africa, the converse is true and hence at times it is considered rude to greet with a right hand. Presumably, toilet paper was expensive in africa during the early years of the muslim regime there and hence this culture got promoted.
