4 x SSSS
This is the third time on a flight to or within the US this year my boarding pass has the SSSS designation - indicating that I'm to be pulled aside for further search before bording the plane. The joy of flying (to the US).

How did you figure out what the designation meant? Was it just an observed correlation between instances of "SSSS" and the tap on the shoulder? Or did someone spill the beans?

It's been quite widely written about the web.
It's strange in that you get advance warning that you will be searched, so if you were carrying something would have a chance to drop it.
